Through the generosity of Richard Fleming and his family foundation, The Fleming Institute for Business Ethics was established in 2009. The programs and activities of the Institute are administered in collaboration with the Salesian Center for Faith and Culture.

Promoting cultural and ethical awareness and action in the workplace

The mission of The Fleming Institute for Business Ethics is to promote a culture of ethical awareness and action in the business professions. The guiding vision of this Institute is to link the corporate and educational communities in a collaborative effort to promote ethical behavior in the world of business. 


Forum for Ethics in the Workplace
The Salesian Center hosts quarterly ethics breakfasts on the first Thursday of the month of each financial quarter in the University Center at DeSales University.
College Ethics Bowl
Graduate and undergraduate students present their ethical views on a business case study before a panel of business executives serving as panel judges.
High School Ethics Bowl
High school students to learn more about current business ethics by presenting their ethical views on a business case study before a panel of faculty and business executives.
